Powers (no more than 150 words):

Healing - Has the ability to calm a person by sharing a piece of their heart with them. Allows an individual in the Ever After to decide to continue performing their current role, or under ascension at the Tree.

Teleportation - Can teleport themselves over short distances by disassembling into teal and purple polygons or in a bright flash of light that will carry both them and nearby people to a different area.

Levitation: Can levitate and move through the air easily.

Change Colors - Changes the tone of their fur based on the current emotion, such as fading when sad.

Transformation - Able to turn into a bipedal black and white cat like monster.

Energy Blast - Comes from the mouth - can look like lightning or polygons.

Possession - Ability to possess another, when that individual has completely lost their way, including accessing their abilities.

Personality

What is your character most afraid of? How are they defined by this fear? (100-300 words)

Abandonment/Betrayal

The Cat was created by the Brothers, and their role was to seek out and heal the the broken Afterans by sharing a piece of their heart with them. This would let them either decide to carry on as they were, or return to the tree to ascend. The Brothers continued to create until the Ever After could no longer sustain their creations, at which time, the tree opened a door for them to give them access to a new world to create, leaving the Cat behind.

After this, The Cat becomes fixated on trying to understand what happened, why their creators abandoned them, and they come to believe they need to get to Remnant to find these answers.

They attempt to befriend two humans who come to the Ever After, and guide them back home when one of them, a girl named Alyx, promises to take the Cat to Remnant as well. Unfortunately, Alyx was selfish, and cruel, believing that the Ever After was make believe and therefore the rules did not apply to her. Upon being taken to the tree, Alyx decided she had to stay behind and fix the damage she had done while Lewis returned. The Cat believes she never had any intention of taking them back to Remnant, and merely tricked them into helping her and her brother. When asked what happened to Alyx in a fight with Ruby and her friends, the Cat says that they killed her.

It is later revealed that Alyx's betrayal is what set the Cat on their path as they were broken hearted and there was no one to help them ascend as they had helped others.

What is your character's greatest desire? How are they defined by this desire? (100-300 words)

Curiosity/Knowledge Seeking

The Cat is driven by curiosity, which they claim is a curse. Blake describes them from the story as 'an ally with an appetite for information' and says while the Cat may not want to go to the tree, that perhaps the team can lure them into guiding them there.

The Cat will often get caught up and lost in a rabbit hole chasing down a line of inconsequential questioning, and forget what they were originally asking about. However, one of the biggest, most consistent drives in their thirst for knowledge is anything involving the Brothers, including the creation of Remnant, and why the Cat was left behind in the Ever After when the pair was given the opportunity to move on and begin creating their own world.


How will not having memories change your character? What core personality traits, if any, will change? How? (200-300 words)

Without their memories, the Cat will still remain intensely curious about everything around them, as this is an ingrained trait, and not connected to their memories or experiences. In their own world, they were aware that it was a curse, but in Well, they will just view it as a part of who they are without any negative connotations associated with it.

The Cat does not remember Alyx or how betrayed they feel over her broken promise, nor do they recall that the Brothers left them behind to go create a new world, although they know that someone, at some point, left them somewhere. This eliminates the reasons why they had become 'broken' in canon and began to start harming others where previously they were viewed as a healer. Until they recover those memories, they will still be fairly selfish, and still feel inclined to use people to their own ends, or achieve their own desires, but will lack the maliciousness behind their intentions. They will feel more inclined to be helpful to others, especially if they can see a benefit in it for them.

However, because they are still aware that someone has left them behind, they will remain frustrated that there doesn't seem to be a way to find out who, or why. More than likely this will drive them to engage in a search to try to find the answers they're seeking. This will become their new motivation for trying to use the people around them to their own ends. Someone has to have the answers they seek, or if not directly the answers, the means to access them.
